【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddealswiththesafetyofelectricalappliancesforhouseholdandsimilarpurposes,theirratedvoltagebeingnotmorethan250Vforsingle-phaseappliancesand480Vforotherappliances.Appliancesnotintendedfornormalhouseholdusebutwhichneverthelessmaybeasourceofdangertothepublic,suchasappliancesintendedtobeusedbylaymeninshops,inlightindustryandonfarms,arewithinthescopeofthisstandard.NOTE1Examplesofsuchappliancesarecateringequipment,cleaningappliancesforindustrialandcommercialuse,andappliancesforhairdressers.Asfarasispracticable,thisstandarddealswiththecommonhazardspresentedbyappliancesthatareencounteredbyallpersonsinandaroundthehome.However,ingeneral,itdoesnottakeintoaccount–persons(includingchildren)whose?physical,sensoryormentalcapabilities;or?lackofexperienceandknowledgepreventsthemfromusingtheappliancesafelywithoutsupervisionorinstruction;–childrenplayingwiththeappliance.NOTE2Attentionisdrawntothefactthat–forappliancesintendedtobeusedinvehiclesoronboardshipsoraircraft,additionalrequirementsmaybenecessary;Textdeleted–inmanycountriesadditionalrequirementsarespecifiedbythenationalhealthauthorities,thenationalauthoritiesresponsiblefortheprotectionoflabour,thenationalwatersupplyauthoritiesandsimilarauthorities.NOTE3Thisstandarddoesnotapplyto–appliancesintendedexclusivelyforindustrialpurposes;–appliancesintendedtobeusedinlocationswherespecialconditionsprevail,suchasthepresenceofacorrosiveorexplosiveatmosphere(dust,vapourorgas);–audio,videoandsimilarelectronicapparatus(IEC60065);–appliancesformedicalpurposes(IEC60601);–hand-heldmotor-operatedelectrictools(IEC60745);–personalcomputersandsimilarequipment(IEC60950);–transportablemotor-operatedelectrictools(IEC61029).
