【摘要】:Thedeterminationiscarriedoutinthefollowingway:Decompositionofthesoapbysulfuricacidandextractionofthefattyacidawithlightpetroleum.Oxidationofthefreeglycerolremainingintheaqueousphasebyperiodicacidtoformicacidandformaldehyde.Onreactionwithchromotropicacid,thealdehydeformedgivesanabsorbingcompoundwhoseabsorbanceispropotionaltothefreeglycerolcontent.Spectrometricmeasurementoftheabsorbanceatawavelengthabout571mm.
